Given that the close of September was dominated by the Liberal Democrat and Labour conferences, it is hardly surprising that they will seem to dominate the Conservatives in any count of interviews given by the BBC to each UK political party. This is a favoured measure of mine, but is obviously of no use this month because of this fact. Similarly, October will move onto the Conservative party conference and they will dominate the air-waves (presumably) for a week. These distortions will be easily remedied by combining September's with October's figures. The problem will vanish and bias will be revealed (should it exist).
For what it's worth though (and it does show quite a lot), here are the figures:
Labour - 125
Lib Dems - 55
Conservatives - 45
SNP - 4
UKIP - 3 (wow!)
Independent - 2
Plaid Cymru - 2
Greens - 1
English Democrats - 1
UUP - 1
DUP - 1
SDLP - 1
